Position in the Organization: Inventory control planner.

Job Mission: Ensure Production progress according to plan, by managing adequate material availability and monitoring other necessary production resources.

Job Description

• Information-gathering & production-order preparation: Process information about demanded production and available resources. Initiate actions. Solve priority conflicts in demand within agreements and gets them solved quickly by escalation otherwise.
• Planning: Plan work-orders for Manufacturing, taking into account all products , available resources, and the various demand-sources .
• Production-Orders: Open and maintain of production orders, guiding Warehouse and Material Issue Team. Maintain a proper MRP and Financial control of the orders.
• Progress and support: Inform staff of Manufacturing and Logistics on production progress, delays in cycle-time and causes. Initiate actions to correct deviations from planning. Support the progress in production and coordinate the realization.
• Coordination & process-control: Ensure optimal tuning of production-activities and material-flows including parameter settings, such that minimum stocks and WIP result, and critical situations can be dealt with effectively. Ensure that material-flows are handled according to regular processes. Solve deviations/disruptions quickly so that disruption of processes is minimized. Control that resources are indeed available and priorities are used according to plan. Ensure that manufacturing works according to agreed procedures with respect to realizing the planning and the administrative tasks. Initiate improvements when needed.
• Optimization: Initiative and active input in improvement processes (valuable knowledge due to central position in processes by nature of the job).

Educational Level:

Degree required in manufacturing-logistics or related field

Personal Skills

• Affinity with technology
• Affinity/experience with integral logistic information systems (ERP)
• Experience in problem-analyses of products and processes
• Being in control, taking initiative, goal-getter, accurate, strong communication skills, handling stress well, service-minded, teamworker
