Position: CNC Programmer/Setup/Operator - $60,000+
Salary: $60,000+
Position Functions:
Looking for an experienced CNC Programmer familiar with Fanuc controls, preferably with experience on horizontal multi-axis lathes and similar equipment (Mori Seiki, Shimadas, etc.)
• Program CNC Machines.
• Clean up outstanding program discrepancies.
• Ensure that proven and stored programs are at proper revision levels.
• Ensure that families of part programs are identical in composition other than the geometric differences.
• Read and analyze standard G-code programming.
• Develop best manufacturing process to eliminate the generation of burrs.
• Assist in selecting the proper tooling required to generate part geometry.
• Assist in setup reduction process throughout the production facility.
• Assist in selecting and ordering appropriate tooling required for the successful manufacture of various components.
• Setup, review, and organize tool packages required for each job.
• Create, organize, and maintain manufacturing routings required for the successful manufacture of various components.
• Effectively plan and organize projects impacting the work of others.
• Meet deadlines without disruption to daily operations; adapt to changes in priorities required to meet company objectives.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others; work closely with the management, support team, to resolve programming issues as related to part geometry.
• Offer suggestions to enhance the manufacturing processes to support Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement.
• Work with outside processing resources to ensure that no ambiguities of process requirements exist.
Experience/Education Required:
• High School Diploma (preferably vocational school) graduate with some post-H.S. technical training (college, technical school).
• Strong knowledge of tooling and cutting steel parts.
• Good understanding/knowledge of Fanuc controls and G-code programming.
• Must be familiar with various ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Understands logic of manufacturing process to support drawing specifications, concentricity, finishes, and feature relationships.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret drawings. Ability to write reports, and procedure manuals.
